Administrators can assign users to teams and projects in the system. Assigning users to teams makes it easier to send messages to groups of people, as well as to see the activity for a team of users in one place. Assigning users to projects gives those users access to specific projects. Without access to a project, a user—even an administrator—cannot open that project to view it or work in it.
When creating a team, you can associate both projects and users with it at the same time. So the following steps are really intended for additional users that you want to associate with existing teams and projects.
For this activity, you must have the following permission setting:
For more information about permissions, see Setting User Permissions.
- Make sure you have already created the team(s) and/or uploaded the Flare project(s).
See Creating Teams and Uploading (Binding) Projects.
- Click . The Users page opens.
- Click the user’s name. The User Profile dialog opens.
- Click Assign Teams/Projects. The Assign Teams/Projects dialog opens.
Click the check boxes next to the teams and/or projects you want to associate with the user.
If you click the main Teams or Project check boxes, all teams and projects will be chosen.
If you select a team, any projects already associated with that team will automatically be selected on the right and grayed out (if you want to deselect the project, you must first deselect the team).
- Click Save and Finish Editing.
